Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, October 26-30, 2008
Sponsored by: Brazilian Computing Society (SBC)
As has occurred since 2002, the 10th Brazilian Symposium on Artificial Neural Networks (SBRN) and the 19th Brazilian Symposium on Artificial Intelligence (SBIA) will be collocated, this time also with the Brazilian Intelligent Robotics Symposium (JRI), in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, October 26-30, 2008.
SBRN is the leading conference in Brazil dedicated to Neural Networks (NNs) and other models of computational intelligence. The emphasis of the Conference is on original theories and novel applications of these computational models. SBRN is co-sponsored by SIG/INNS/Brazil Special Interest Group of the International Neural Networks Society in Brazil. SBRN is an international conference, with papers written in English, an international program committee, and proceedings published by IEEE Computer Society.
Besides the rich scientific program, with several talks and tutorials given by distinguished invited speakers and technical papers, there are also the cultural highlights of Salvador: one of the most beautiful cities in Brazil, with very nice beaches and islands, rich culture and great food! Therefore, we invite the AI, ANN and Robotics communities to join us and make this event a very exciting one. Hope to see you there!
All accepted papers will be published by IEEE Computer Society. Papers should present substantial new results in theoretical, empirical and applied research related to the topics of the conference. Papers must be written in English and must not exceed 6 pages, including all tables, figures, and references. Formatting instructions, LaTeX macros and MSWord templates are available here or from the files below.
By submitting papers to SBRN 2008, the authors agree that in case of acceptance at least one author registers to the conference and presents the paper. Simultaneous submission of papers to other conferences is allowed, provided that this fact is clearly indicated by the authors in the submission process. Double blind reviewing: reviewing for papers will be blind to the identities of the authors and their institutions. Submissions violating the guidelines will be excluded from the reviewing process.
